Full house when data‑driven development was discussed in Örnsköldsvik
On February 1st, the business community were gathered in Örnsköldsvik for a lunch seminar on industrial applications for data-driven development. Three invited speakers presented concrete examples of how they have worked with data-driven development and shared their experiences.
The first speaker was Johan Jonzon from the company Crosser. Crosser develops and provides a platform to simplify the processing, integration and analysis of industrial data, on the factory floor, between systems and for cloud environments. Johan shared concrete examples of data-driven development from his customer collaborations, he also offered his observations on companies that succeed with their investments.
Märtha Sjögren from Hägglunds gave an insight into the company's digitalization journey.
The second speaker of the day was Märtha Sjögren, who works with data-driven development at Hägglunds (Bosch Rexroth) in Mellansel. Märtha gave the participants an insight into how far different parts of Hägglunds have come in their data-driven development journey, and gave her view on what is required of an organization to develop data-driven ways of working.
Mattias O'Nils talked about how Mid Sweden University collaborates with companies on AI development.
Last out was Mattias O'Nils, head of STC Research Centre at Mid Sweden University. STC collaborates with a number of different companies in research projects and together with the companies, the researchers develop new data-driven models to streamline working methods and create new products and services. Mattias showed, among other things, examples of how the bus company Byberg Nordin managed to save 500 000 SEK in fuel costs by, with the help of AI, being able to visualize the gasoline consumption of different types of buses, routes and drivers.

The interest for the seminar theme was great and the event was fully booked. One of the day's participants was Jim Rönnlund, who is responsible for sales at CoreIT.
- There have been great presentations, a good mix of doctoral students, research and practical examples from industry. It has opened up new ways of thinking about what our customers can do in their various industries, what are the applications? It's good to be able to take part in real examples, says Jim Rönnlund, CoreIT.

Rebecka Nordin works as a consultant with change and innovation management at the company XLENT. Rebecka's purpose for the day was to take part in different applications of AI.
- My expectation was to see concrete examples, and I have been given that! I noticed today, that more and more focus shift from technology to people and change management - what does the new technology mean for culture? Today we have discussed the journey you are facing when new technology is implemented in a business. A technical change also often means a change in the work itself and it was very interesting to hear examples from reality how different organizations have worked with it. And to focus on the value you have created with the applications, says Rebecka.
